Jose Luis Diaz de Villegas was the design director of the newspaper El Nuevo Día, as well as editor-in-chief of its Sunday magazine, for 30 years. He currently writes the Gourmet section under the pen name Paco Villón. A member of the Society of Wine Educators, he has taught cooking and wine courses for 15 years and was the creator of the television series La Cocina de Don Paco on WIPR-TV, a PBS affiliated channel in Puerto Rico. He is the author of the book 100 Tapas, and co-author of Poemas de Israel. He collaborated on the encyclopedias Gran Enciclopedia de Cuba, Gran Enciclopedia de Puerto Rico, and Puerto Rico de la A a la Z. Winner of numerous prizes for his designs, illustrations and cartoons, Diaz de Villegas has exhibited his work in galleries & museums in various countries.
Jochi Melero is a photographer, cinematographer and director of photography. He has traveled the world with his work and has been published in books & magazines such as: Time, Travel + Leisure, House & Garden, The New Yorker, Harper's, Gourmet, GQ, The New York Times, and many more. His work has garnered many awards for him in festivals such as the New York Film Festival and the Clio Awards. For years he collaborated with Paco Villón producing photographs for the Gourmet section of el Nuevo Día. Jochi is co-founder and resident film director of Paradiso Films, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
